As a young, independent and well capable individual, I am interested in submitting an application to Hello Sailor for the bar back and floor person position available as advertised on the Food and Liquor. I believe I possess the skills necessary to be a distinguished and well-practiced bar back.
In responding to the suggested requirements of the club’s employees, I would like to highlight how my skills and experience could compliment existing staff members and be of value to the team.
· Excellent Communication Skills: As a Sports Coach, a key aspect of my role is to convey information regarding technique and performance to my athletes. I have also previously worked at ‘front of house’ and ‘back of house’ at Wizzy World as well as run children’s parties so have great customer relations’ experience.
· Work Within a Busy Store: I enjoy working under pressure and in a busy environment. I am easily motivated individually or when working within a team. My passion is to consistently achieve great customer service and to continually improve my skills as well as ensure all customers thoroughly enjoy their experiences when dining out.
· Great Availability: I am available all throughout the week and on weekends. As a university student I have a lot of flexibility within my week so am easily available on short notice.
· Enjoy Working in a Team: I am able to motivate myself individually and within a team. I am a quick and conscious thinker who is able to recognize work that needs to be completed and complete it without being asked.
· Excellent Organisational Skills: I am a very organized individual who has the ability to balance many projects at a time. I love to complete all tasks to their absolute best. I have excellent research skills, attending many research and organization classes and programs within Macquarie University.
· Necessary Qualifications and Previous Experience: I have recently completed the Certificate III in hospitality and have thus learnt a great deal about food and beverage hygiene and safety. I am well practiced within the hospitality environment after completing a six-week course, plus work experience, in the hospitality setting. My knowledge consists of participating in safe work practice, hygienic practices for food safety as well as safe food handling practices, clean and tidy bar areas, process financial transactions, prepare and serve alcohol and non-alcoholic beverage, provide table service, show social and cultural sensitivity an work effectively in hospitality service.

Party Host at Wizzy World
I previously worked at this children’s indoor play center, hosting birthday parties. I was in charge of 25-35 children per party. I had to run the party including entertainment, serving of food and beverages to children and parents and ensuring everyone enjoyed their experience here.

Sports Coach at Roseville College
I currently work as a Sports Coach at Roseville Ladies College. I am in charge of senior school teams where I teach technique, fitness and the essence of the assigned sport. My hockey and football teams have won their premierships for the past two years,

I have completed my Certificate III in hospitality through Opportune People in accordance with Vision Training Institute. I have knowledge and experience in safe food and beverage handling, occupational health and safety as well as service of beverages and food.
